Flowers Out at Cabrillo Monument
An “outstanding” flowering season at the Cabrillo National Monument at the end of Point Loma provides walkers with a close-up view of a wide variety of flowering plants.
Although few wildflowers are seen in the developed areas of the park, “carpets” of bloom can be seen leading down to the Pacific shore. This section of the park can be reached by way of the tidepool access road.
Along the Bayside Trail, walkers can enjoy the yellow sea dahlias, black-eyed Susans and black sage.
Both areas are open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Plants within the Cabrillo National Monument are protected under the National Park System and may not be picked.
