Eileen E. Padberg has been named president of Nelson-Padberg Communications. In her new position at the Costa Mesa public relations company, Padberg’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate service to clients and develop new business. She has been a partner in the firm for four years and has been involved in political campaigns and public affairs for more than 15 years.

Douglas J. Tullio has been promoted to vice president for domestic sales and marketing of General Automation Inc.’s line of Zebra computer products. Tullio, who joined General Automation in Anaheim last April, had been vice president of the company’s East Coast operations. The announcement was made by Rene Caron, vice president for marketing and sales in General Automation’s computer group.

Ken Boxley, founder, chairman and chief executive of United Publishers in Beverly Hills, has been elected to the board of Codecard of Irvine. Boxley fills a newly created seat on the board.
