The body of a partially clothed woman, described as being in her 40s, was found Saturday by two men searching for scrap metal on a vacant lot at 15th Street and Island Avenue, police said. The body, clad only in a white sweater, had at least one stab wound in the throat. Part of the victim’s clothing was found near the body. The coroner’s office declined to release the name of the victim until relatives could be contacted.
