Clippers Follow Road to Kansas City Today

KANSAS CITY — The Clippers, coming off a dismal 16-point loss to Chicago Friday night, will continue their five-game trip today against the Kansas City Kings at the Kemper Arena.
Following today’s game, in which Los Angeles will try to avoid its ninth straight defeat, the Clippers play Monday night at Detroit, Wednesday night at Philadelphia and Thursday night at Indiana. The Clippers have lost 12 straight road games, but that’s not even close to their club record for most consecutive road losses (29) set during the 1981-82 and 83-84 seasons.
Center Bill Walton, still bothered by soreness in his right ankle, is questionable. Clipper General Manager Carl Scheer said that Walton might be sent back to Los Angeles if his ankle doesn’t improve.
