Military Plane Crashes; 5 Killed

FT. HOOD, Tex. —
A C-130 military transport plane with eight crew members aboard crashed today in central Texas and burst into flames, killing at least five crewmen, officials said. Two crewmen were injured and taken to the Army base’s hospital, and one was not immediately accounted for, a Ft. Hood spokeswoman said. The plane was on a flight out of Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene.
