Jurors in Sacramento unanimously recommended that Patrick Gordon, 27, of Chino should die in the gas chamber for the killing of an armored truck guard. A week ago, the jury found Gordon guilty of first-degree murder, robbery and conspiracy in the fatal shooting of Loomis truck guard William C. Wiley during a holdup at a K Mart store in Stockton on Dec. 10, 1983. Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Carol Miller will decide April 26 whether to follow the jury’s recommendation. Gordon’s brothers, Michael Caputo, 25, and Bernard Gordon, 30, both of Upland, are scheduled to be tried on murder and robbery charges in connection with the holdup. The three have been implicated in 17 other K Mart holdups around the state.
