Secretary of State George P. Shultz may meet with Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei A. Gromyko when both are scheduled to attend a ceremony in Vienna on May 15 to mark the 30th anniversary of the end of the occupation of Austria.

A State Department official, who demanded anonymity, said today that any such meeting was likely to focus on the possibility of a summit between President Reagan and the new Soviet leader, Mikhail S. Gorbachev. “What else is there?” the official asked.
