A Santa Barbara man accused of killing his parents, sister and 4-year-old niece was bound over for trial after a judge rejected a motion to drop the charges. Barry Wayne McNamara, 36, was scheduled for Santa Barbara Superior Court arraignment April 5 in the Jan. 5 fatal shootings of his mother, Florence McNamara, 56; father, Elger, 57; sister, Diane McNamara Trenner, 31, and niece, Kellin Trenner. Municipal Judge Frank Ochoa ruled that there is enough evidence to bring McNamara to trial, despite a defense motion to dismiss the case on the ground that McNamara was denied the right to a continuous hearing.
