Local News in Brief : Agoura Hills Hangs Conditions on Industrial Park Project

Agoura Hills city planners Friday gave their blessing to a controversial $75-million high-technology industrial park--provided developers of the 34-acre project agree to 174 conditions before ground is broken.
The recommended approval was included in a thick report sent to planning commissioners by city Planning Director Paul Williams. The commission will meet Thursday to consider the building request from developer Jerry Katell.
The recommended conditions range from guarantees that oak trees will be preserved to measures to handle expected traffic congestion caused by the new work force.
Katell and a partner in the project, Ahmanson Commercial Development Co., have proposed seven buildings with a total of 720,000 square feet of space. Three of the buildings would be sold to Teradyne Inc., which plans to manufacture semiconductor test equipment there.
