Age-Discrimination Suit Wins $425,215

DEDHAM, Mass. —
A New England Telephone Co. employee who was passed over for promotions despite high performance ratings has been awarded $425,215 in an age-discrimination suit.
Milton P. Connors, 69, of Norwood, who filed suit against the company in 1980, on Thursday was awarded $122,574 for financial losses, $150,000 for emotional distress and $152,641 in interest.
