Grenade on Filipino Bus Kills 5; Rebels Blamed

MANILA —
Suspected Communist rebels exploded a grenade inside a bus in the central Philippines, killing five people and seriously wounding four, the official Philippine News Agency said Sunday.
The incident occurred late Saturday on a bus on the island of Panay, more than 200 miles south of Manila. Two of the dead were soldiers and the others, civilians. Four people were seriously wounded in the blast, the agency said.
