Countywide : $22 Million in Sales, Use Taxes Go to Cities
Orange County and its 26 cities received $22 million in March as their share of local sales and use tax funds, the state Board of Equalization said in a recent report.
Anaheim will receive the largest amount in the county, $2.8 million. Santa Ana’s share is $2.2 million, and Costa Mesa’s is $1.9 million.
The amounts returned to other cities are: Brea, $634,090; Buena Park, $777,574; Cypress, $180,761; Fountain Valley, $438,193; Fullerton, $1 million; Garden Grove, $1.1 million; Huntington Beach, $1.5 million; Irvine, $1.5 million; Laguna Beach, $124,356.
Also, La Habra, $364,196; La Palma, $54,839; Los Alamitos, $154,039; Newport Beach, $961,290; Orange, $1.6 million; Placentia, $267,723; San Clemente, $156,393; San Juan Capistrano, $142,028; Seal Beach $102,269; Stanton, $188,360; Tustin, $543,623; Villa Park, $16,340; Westminster, $920,554, and Yorba Linda, $96,415.
