Danish Police Club Protesters
COPENHAGEN — Riot police clubbed demonstrators who blocked bridges in the Danish capital today in an attempt to stop Parliament from legislating an end to a 5-day-old nationwide strike. Police removed demonstrators and posted about 1,000 officers around Parliament. Debate on the legislation began after a two-hour delay.
