Standard & Poor’s said it raised its rating on Pasadena-based Beverly Enterprises’ $166 million of outstanding subordinated debt to BB- from B+ . . . NVF Co., Miami, said it expects to report a loss for 1984 of about $146.5 million, including a write-down of its investment in Evans Products Co. of about $55 million.
