The Tourism Ministry announced that 10 organizations, including police forces and first-aid groups, will work in a joint effort to aid vacationers during the Easter holidays.

The Federal Highway Police will be in charge of the operation, working with other police forces, the Red Cross and private automobile associations.

Information and emergency first-aid booths will be set up along major highways leading from Mexico City to the Pacific Coast resorts of Acapulco, Ixtapa and Manzanillo and the Gulf of Mexico resort of Veracruz.
