Trial in Henry Liu Murder Ends

TAIPEI, Taiwan — The trial of two underworld figures accused of killing a Chinese-American journalist in California last year ended today with the men weeping as they begged a court not to sentence them to death.
The presiding judge said he will pronounce the verdicts and sentences on April 9 after hearing testimony from Chen Chi-li, 41, and Wu Tun, 35, in connection with the shooting death of Henry Liu, 52, who was killed in the garage of his Daly City, Calif., home last Oct. 15.
