DiMascio Home Run Leads UCSD

Dan DiMascio’s three-run homer capped a five-run third inning and led UC San Diego to an 11-7 win over Wisconsin-Whitewater at Olsen Field Friday afternoon. The Tritons trailed, 5-3, before the rally.
Mike Corsetti and Derek Alkonis had two hits apiece for UCSD, which had 11 in the game. Warhawk center fielder Jim Bathey went 3 for 5 with two RBIs, and teammate Bruce Potochich had two hits.
Despite allowing seven runs, Dan Healy (2-3) pitched a complete game and picked up the win for UCSD. Jeff Kohl (0-2) took the loss.
The Tritons improved to 16-15-1, and the Warhawks fell to 2-8.
