Del Mar Fair Seeks Exhibits for June Expo

The 1985 Del Mar Fair is now accepting entries for its 15 exhibition departments, ranging from teen-age woodwork to guinea pigs, that will be part of the June 20-July 7 event.

Information about how and when to enter, the categories, judging dates and prizes is available free at all public libraries in San Diego County and at the Del Mar Fairgrounds entry office. Forms to enter livestock are available at 4-H and Future Farmers of America offices.

Application deadlines are:

For the 36th International Exhibition of Photography, April 26; art in all media, teen-age art and woodworking, May 10; feature booths, flower and garden, gems and minerals, hobby show, livestock for juniors 4-H and FFA, numismatic, industrial education and home arts, May 15; open livestock, pigeons, poultry and rabbits, June 1, and cavies, June 14.

“It’s a Good Feeling” is the fair’s theme. Admission will be $4 for adults, $1 for children and $2.50 for senior citizens. Discounts are offered through PTAs.

The Del Mar Fair, also known as the Southern California Exposition, is sponsored by the 22nd District Agricultural Assn., a nonprofit agency of the State of California.
