Three people were arrested on suspicion of having stolen property, and about 600 sporting event and concert tickets were seized at a Huntington Beach ticket agency, an Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said Thursday.

The tickets to concerts and Lakers, Angels and Kings games were stolen last weekend from a floor safe at the Ticket Connection shop in Santa Ana Heights, where someone pried the front door open, Lt. Dick Olson said.

Jeffrey Samuel Berkis, a 24-year-old Fountain Valley mover, and Antonia Gabrielle Garofalo, 20, of Santa Ana, were arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Raspberry Roach ticket shop in Huntington Beach.

Olson said shop employees notified sheriff’s deputies that the two were trying to sell tickets that had shown up on shop computers as reportedly stolen, Olson said. He said all but 30 stolen tickets were recovered.

Investigators who later questioned the suspects learned that Garofalo’s brother, Johnathon Craig Garofalo, 26, a maintenance worker who lives with his sister, “was possibly involved in entering the (burglarized ticket outlet),” Olson said. Johnathon Garofalo was arrested about 7 p.m. at his home at 1313 S. Hesperian St., Olson said.

All three suspects were being held on $10,000 bail Thursday at Orange County Jail.
