VOLUNTEERS STAGE MASQUERS BENEFIT
A volunteer group called Artists to Save the Masquers is holding a marathon benefit starting at 8 tonight at the club, 1765 N. Sycamore Ave. Celebrities expected to be on hand include Rudy Vallee, Janet Blair and Walter Koenig of the “Star Trek” series. There will also be showings of a performance art video by Rachel Rosenberg and paintings by Tracy Dennison.
The original Masquers Club fell into financial difficulties and sold the premises. The present group seeks to forestall the razing of the building by its new owner.
