A half-million dollars worth of cocaine was found in the luggage of a part-time Episcopal priest and Army reserve chaplain when he landed at San Francisco International Airport after a trip to Florida, according to the agent in charge of the state Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement in San Jose. Bob Luca said the kilogram of cocaine found in a garment bag belonging to the Rev. Robert Switz in the search April 8 was about 98% pure. Switz was charged with transporting and possessing cocaine for sale and was ordered to appear May 22 in San Mateo Municipal Court for a preliminary hearing.
