Golden Nugget offered to buy a Hilton hotel.

The Las Vegas-based casino operator, which previously offered to buy a controlling share in Hilton Hotels from the estate of founder Conrad Hilton, declined to say what it bid for Hilton’s nearly completed, $300-million hotel-casino in Atlantic City, N.J. Hilton previously disclosed that it has had a bid on the same property from New York developer Donald Trump. Golden Nugget also is suing to force Hilton Hotels to give more information to stockholders on certain matters before its annual meeting May 6.
