Supervisor Wieder’s Trip to S. Africa

Re: The editorials on Harriett Wieder’s trip to South Africa (April 14): As I only take the Sunday Times I wouldn’t know if there were any pro articles. Knowing the bias of The Times, the political bent and bias of some of the writers, I know why the jab was taken at Mrs. Wieder.

I don’t remember any articles or editorials by these same “concerned” citizens when Ted Kennedy took his biased flyer into South Africa. The local intelligent blacks that are not satisfying their ego or power saw him as a three-dollar bill.

How much of Harriett Wieder’s trip did the taxpayers pay? How much of Ted Kennedy’s trip did it cost the taxpayers?

There are many types of racism in this world. For someone to say one is worse than another is self-serving.
