Informatics General is suing Sterling Software.

The Woodland Hills firm claims that Dallas-based Sterling made false statements in materials sent to shareholders and filed with the government in connection with its takeover drive. Informatics wants a U.S. District Court judge in Los Angeles to block a takeover by Sterling, prevent it from increasing its 9.3% stake in the California company, bar it from voting its shares and force it to sell the shares that it already owns. Sterling said the suit is without merit.
