As an Afterthought, Rams Draft Flutie

Share

If the United States Football League folds or Doug Flutie plays out his contract with the New Jersey Generals--whichever comes first--Ram Coach John Robinson will have yet another quarterback on his hands.

The Rams, apparently with nothing better in mind, spent their last, 11th-round pick in Tuesday’s National Football League draft for a future claim on the quarterback from Boston College.

Robinson, who already seems to have a problem in trading Vince Ferragamo after the arrival of Dieter Brock, had no immediate comment on the selection. He had already left Rams Park for the night.
