Dutch Industrial Output Up, Belgium’s Down
Industrial production rose 5% in the Netherlands in February from a year earlier, while out was down 3.7% in Belgium in January, according to reports.
In the Hague, the Dutch Central Bureau for Statistics said 12-month increase industrial output was down from a 7% gain in January. The agency previously had reported that the unemployment rate had risen in February.
In Brussels, the National Institute of Statistics said Belgium’s industrial production dipped because building activity slackened in January. Excluding the building sector, output was up 1.4% from a year earlier.
