The U.N. High Commisioner for Refugees announced that his agency will spend another $12 million in 1986-1988 to help China absorb 280,000 Vietnamese refugees. On a visit to Peking, Poul Hartling praised its efforts in helping the refugees and noted that only the United States has resettled more.
