Project in San Diego Will Have June Start
Koll Construction Co. of San Diego has begun work on a pair of research and development complexes in the Lusk Mira Mesa Business Park at San Diego.
The $2.3 million, four-building project will total 74,000 square feet on two sites.
Nielsen Construction Co. plans an early June ground breaking on the 117,000-square-foot Balboa Technology Center in San Diego.
Designed by Conwell-Marshall & Associates of San Diego, the research and development complex is owned by Midtown Niki Developments.
Irvine Industrial
A $2.83-million loan for the construction of a research center in the Irvine Industrial Complex-East has been approved by First Interstate Mortgage Co.
Gentosi Brothers Inc. will serve as contractor for the 40,000-square-foot project.
Carli Architecture
Carli Architecture has been selected by developer Harry Nims to redesign a vacant Pomona supermarket into a 46,500-square-foot, $1.4-million research center.
No construction date has been set.
Harbor Technology
Farallon Capital Partners of San Francisco recently purchased a pair of two-story buildings in the 65-acre Harbor Technology Center in Torrance from the project’s developer, Cabot, Cabot & Forbes.
Cushman & Wakefield and the Seeley Co. negotiated the $12-million purchase.
Watt Investment
Construction on a $5-million, 63,668-square-foot high-tech office complex was recently completed in Chatsworth.
The two-story concrete structure was designed by Kowalski, Harding & Associates and developed by Watt Investment Properties of Santa Monica. Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed leasing agent.
