The Senate completed congressional action and sent to the White House today a bill repealing a year-old law requiring detailed daily records on the use of tax-deductible cars and home computers.

The repeal, which came on a voice vote, would mean a return to the substantiation requirements under the old law, which required that a person claiming a deduction have adequate records or other corroborating evidence.
