Here’s Another Vote Against the Wave
Thank you, Mr. Leonetti, for your letter regarding the wave at baseball games. I have been meaning to send a letter and your letter inspired me to do so. I do not know where or how this wave thing first got started, but I feel that it is really silly. If people realized how foolish they look jumping up and down and making noise to create the wave, they probably would stop doing it. The wave not only bothers other fans who go to see the games, but I feel that it also bothers the players who are trying to do their jobs. What is wrong with cheering and booing the teams? That’s what baseball is about and I do it myself.
