Truck Driver Arrested After Crude-Oil Spill
A truck driver was arrested Saturday after driving from a Newhall gas station while his tanker was leaking about 10,000 gallons of crude oil, authorities said.
The trucker left a Texaco station at Sierra Highway and San Fernando Road at 4:27 a.m. as his tanker leaked into a creek and storm drain, said California Highway Patrol officer Phil Lammi.
Lammi said the driver was arrested but he did not know his identity or what he was arrested for.
