Former Democratic vice presidential candidate Geraldine A. Ferraro said she will announce in November whether she will challenge New York Republican Alfonse M. D’Amato for his U.S. Senate seat. Ferraro, commencement speaker at the State Agricultural and Technical College at Morrisville, N.Y., said she will be conducting polls in June to determine if a senatorial campaign is feasible. D’Amato’s first term in the Senate ends in January, 1987.
