Liberia Police Purge Told

MONROVIA, Liberia —
More than 150 Liberian police officers, including majors, captains and lieutenants, have been dismissed for incompetence and will be replaced by a “new breed of highly educated officers,” authoritative sources said Monday. No further details were disclosed.
