Likely Best Seller to Go for $18--Reagan Tax Reform

WASHINGTON — Americans will be able to learn exact details of President Reagan’s tax reform proposal next Wednesday--but it will cost $18, the Treasury Department said today.
That is the price for a copy of the 400-page proposal that goes on sale to the public at 8 a.m. Wednesday at government book stores throughout the nation and which, because of furious interest in accounting firms and corporate America, is expected to be a best seller.
Department sources have said President Reagan, who will introduce the new version in a nationally broadcast speech Tuesday night, will not go into any great detail. (Story on Page 21.)
The news media will be given a limited number of free copies of the proposal--but not until 7 a.m. the morning following the speech, one hour before it goes on the public sale.
