No Bond for Sailor in Spy Case

BALTIMORE —
A 22-year-old Navy seaman accused of conspiring with his father to deliver secret documents to the Soviet Union will be held without bond until a hearing Wednesday, a federal magistrate decided today.
Michael Lance Walker was taken before Magistrate Daniel Klein for a scheduled initial appearance, but no action was taken. Walker’s father, John A. Walker Jr., also being held without bond, was scheduled for a similar hearing Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Paul Rosenberg.
