Office Complexes : $20-Million Project Being Built Near Valley Airport

Valley Corporate Park, a $20-million undertaking by the Linpro Co., is being built next to the Van Nuys Airport.

Linpro bought a 37,435-square-foot existing building and its 7.4-acre site from Clevepark Corp. and has relocated the structure on the site for construction and renovation into a total of about 150,000 square feet of office space. Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services is handling leasing.

L. A. Plaza Under Way

Tocaloma Plaza, a four-story, 90,000-square-foot office building, is nearing completion at 10780 Santa Monica Blvd., across from the Mormon Temple in West Los Angeles.


Designed by the Century City architectural firm of Gensler & Associates, the $11.5-million building is being built by C. L. Peck & Co. for Douglas, Emmett & Co. Jon Douglas Commercial brokerage Services is handling leasing for the building, scheduled for completion in September.

Financing Arranged

Permanent financing of $6.8 million has been arranged for the three-story Science Applications Inc. corporate facilities building completed last July at 10200 Campus Point Drive, La Jolla.

First Interstate Mortgage Co., San Diego, a subsidiary of First Interstate Bancorp., arranged the loan with Teachers Insurance & Annuity Assn., a New York City-based company, for developers Oliver McMillan. the building added 67,200 square feet of office space to the Campus Point corporate office park.


Glendora Facility Started

Construction is under way on a $6-million, 86,000-square-foot corporate office and assembly facility for Interface Technology Inc. at 2100 Alosta Blvd., Glendora.

Designed by McClellan, Cruz, Gaylord of Pasadena, the structure is being built by Myers Building Industries Ltd. of Upland for LaCagnina Stubblefield Inc. of Encino, developer and construction manager. Occupancy is scheduled in mid-June.

Laguna Work Progresses

A topping-out ceremony has been held for Birtcher Pacific’s $8-million Plaza point office building at 23041 Avenida de la Carlotta in Laguna Hills.

The five-story, 64,000-square-foot office building is expected to be completed in July. Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Group is the leasing agent.
