The Nation : Black Children Worse Off
Black children in America have lost ground over the last five years, the Children’s Defense Fund said, and are becoming more likely to be born in poverty, lack a college education and go unemployed. In a report comparing the status of black and white children, the organization, a public interest advocacy group founded in Washington in 1973, said that black children were “sliding backwards.”
