A man opened fire with an automatic pistol in crowded Lanark Recreational Center Park in Canoga Park, killing one man and wounding two others before bystanders pounced on him as he started to reload his gun, police said. Angel Nunes Gudino, 24, pulled out a .22-caliber automatic pistol, shot a man once in the chest and twice in the neck, killing him, then shot a man in the buttocks and another in the leg, Sgt. Steve Fry said. When the gunman took out a new clip to reload, Fry said, several people jumped him, beat him up and then turned him over to police who had arrived at the park. Gudino was booked on suspicion of murder. Names of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
