L.A.’s employment outlook is a little dimmer.

The third-quarter employment outlook for Los Angeles is slightly less positive than for the rest of the nation, according to a survey by Manpower Inc., a Milwaukee-based temporary employment service. The poll found that 11% of Los Angeles area employers expect to reduce personnel during the third quarter, with 27% expecting increases. Nationally, 7% of 12,000 employers polled expect reductions, with 26% expecting increases. Statewide, 7% of employers expect cutbacks, with 29% expecting increases.
