A Corona man was being held Monday on charges of attempted murder, attempted armed robbery and violating parole after he allegedly attacked another man on a Corona street.

Charles Soria, 20, was arrested by Corona police officers and booked into the Corona City Jail on Sunday evening, a day after the incident took place near Second and Washburn streets, a police spokesman said.

Soria’s alleged victim, an 18-year-old man whose name and address were not released, suffered stab wounds to his left arm, back and chest. He made his way to a nearby house, where a resident summoned police, said Lt. Sam Spiegel.

The victim, bleeding from his wounds, waited in the kitchen of the central Corona house. He was taken to Riverside General Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit on Monday, police said.
