The Nation : Zaccaro’s License Curbed

Share

New York state officials ordered a 90-day suspension of the real estate broker’s license of John A. Zaccaro, husband of unsuccessful Democratic vice presidential candidate Geraldine A. Ferraro. Zaccaro pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to scheming to defraud for altering an appraisal report and overstating his net worth. A hearing officer concluded that Zaccaro “demonstrated untrustworthiness beyond question,” said William Brown, a spokesman for Secretary of State Gail Shaffer. The suspension takes effect Aug. 1.
