Shame on you, Richard Cromelin (Pop Capsules, June 3)!!
With bimbo-rockers like Madonna influencing young girls to be “boy-toys,” and heavy-metal bands like Twisted Sister inciting young men to beat up their parents and bang their heads in unison, it’s quite refreshing to see such a dynamic performer as Howard Jones emerge with such a positive, healthy message to share with the young people.
If they can leave a Howard Jones concert singing “Things Can Only Get Better,” instead of “Sex and Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll,” more power to Howard Jones.
