We were outraged by Robert Hilburn’s review of Phil Collins’ concert at Irvine Meadows Amphithteatre (“One More Time, One More Night,” June 4).
Obviously Hilburn isn’t a musician and if he is, he must play for a punk band.
How can he criticize Phil for singing “One More Night” when he writes great reviews about no-talent bands like X who only know three chords and repeat verses over and over like “Wild thing!”
How many times did they repeat that Mr. Hilburn? They didn’t even write the song!
Success and popularity have little or nothing to do with Hilburn’s reviews. Next time ask the people who attend the shows, not someone who can’t see past his nose.
