A former nurse to the late actress Janet Gaynor was sentenced to two years in prison and fined $1,000 for stealing two rings from the actress’ home in Desert Hot Springs. Indio Superior Court Judge James Herrin also ordered nurse Jacque Williams, 50, who pleaded guilty to grand theft charges May 6, to make restitution of $25,000 for one of the stolen items--a diamond and sapphire ring--that was not recovered. Williams worked for Gaynor at the Desert Hot Springs house from February, 1983, until March, 1984, and was arrested Aug. 16, 1984. Gaynor died in September, 1984, from the effects of a 1982 traffic accident in San Francisco.
