Condemned killer Charles Milton was moved to a small cell outside the Texas execution chamber in Huntsville, exactly eight years after the shooting for which he was sentenced to death by injection. Only a reprieve from Gov. Mark White could keep Milton from the scheduled execution before dawn today, Milton’s attorney said. Milton, 34, was convicted of killing the woman owner of a liquor store in an aborted robbery.
