Computer Installation Shuts Encinitas Library
The Encinitas branch library is closed through July 19 for the installation of a new automated circulation system, branch manager Michele Armbrust announced.
The staff of the library at 5400 Cornish Drive will label its books with bar codes similar to those on supermarket products. “Since the Encinitas branch owns more than 36,000 volumes,” Armbrust said, “closing for a short time is the best way to get the job done.”
Other libraries nearby are the Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach and Del Mar branches, which are part of the San Diego County Library system.
