Le Slew Romps to Win at Hollywood Park
Le Slew swept into the lead in midstretch and drew off in the final furlong Friday to easily win the $50,700 B. Thoughtful Stakes for older fillies and mares at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Bill Shoemaker, Le Slew finished three lengths in front of Patricia James, ridden by Sandy Hawley. Bonbonaire, ridden by Gary Stevens, was third, another three lengths back. Sent off the third choice, Le Slew paid $8.40 to win.
