Lloyd Reuss, a General Motors vice president, said the company will expand and modernize the auto maker’s stamping plant near Mansfield, Ohio, the world’s largest. Reuss said the updated plant will produce sheet metal parts for a new GM passenger car, called the L-car, planned for the 1987 model year. Reuss said the expansion is unrelated to GM’s Saturn project.
