Boeing Co. of Seattle has pledged a gift of $250,000 over the next five years to establish the Boeing Faculty Development Fund at Caltech in Pasadena. The fund will be used to assist new and younger science and engineering faculty members in establishing their own research groups and projects. “With this gift, the Boeing Co. is helping to meet a vital need at Caltech,” President Marvin L. Goldberger said. “We must be able to attract outstanding researchers and teachers if we are to maintain the high quality of our faculty.”
