NYC Mayor Koch to Run Again

NEW YORK —
Declaring that “being mayor of New York is the best job in America,” Edward I. Koch said today that he will seek a third term in City Hall.
Koch said that he helped lead New York through its years of fiscal crisis, and that the city “learned to rely on leadership, experience, hard work, common sense, honesty and new ideas.” Koch, 60, unsuccessfully ran for governor in 1982.
